I just ripped a movie from a DVD, used handbrake to convert it to .m4v and iTunes will not let me copy the video file to the iTunes library. I've converted many movies that I ripped and I just use the same preset in Handbrake so they are all .m4v files.
Is there a new security feature in iTunes that detects ripped content?
    Thanks!

Hm, make sure you're dragging it into your Library, rather than your Recently Added/Recently Played playlist. Sometimes I make that error

It is m4v format. I have most of them in mp4 but this and 2 others are m4v's. It's so weird because it even has the iTunes logo as the icon...

I do that, the icon moves, then when I hover over the iTunes library, it has the little cancel button. I know how to add movies to iTunes haha
