Is space full on your iPod?
Have you moved your apps to the media partition yet?

If you are on 1.1.3, you can only have 84 applications, regardless of if they are in the applications folder or not.

Your problem is caused by a lack of space on your iPod. Either uninstall a few apps, install BossTools and relocate your fonts and apps, or just move your apps by typing these commands into term-vt100 or an SSH program such as PuTTy:

    cp -r /Applications /private/var/Applications
    rm -rf /Applications
    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications

Then, to check it has worked:

    cd /
    ls -la

You should get a screen that looks like this:
Now, reboot or respring your iPod.

would moving fonts / ringtones change anything ?
like slow down my ipod or whatever ?
or will i have problems with some applications because they try to read from the 300mb partition ?
