.mov file format?

    Can ipod touch 2g 2.2 play .mov files? My mov files at the resoultion of 480x270, 1.2 mbps. (Downloaded from gametrailers)

    No, you will need to convert them to mp4 if you want to play them on your iPod.

    IT say's .mov! Is there something I miss?

    Because i googled it and saw that it doesn't play. But i think, they are needed to be H.264 coded even mov or mp4.

    Heads up on MOV... DON'T download from limewire (or even media-hosting sites really) these are the files that riddle your computer with viruses, stick to .avi and .mp4

    I suggest you get the program "WinAVI MP4 Converter".
    It's an awesome program that converts any media file into mp4, and the quality is just amazing. totally works on iPod, i've tested it.

    Or get 3GP converter. Its small, fast, free and no spamware/virusware/spyware/adware. It will convert anything i have found so far into just about every mobile format you can think of. You can even do encoding from VOB files to every other mobile format. it does mp4 for both ipod and psp (dont know why they are different, i have never got my ipod mp4 to play on my psp and vice versa.) It also does all the 3gp conversions for mobile phones.
