Uhm, I thought we all agreed Australia is known for slow internet at increadibly high prices. (Which is sad. It's a nice country to travel around in apart from that.)

I live in Australia, and that is absolutely false.

Yeah man, like in my country, we have rubbish internet. It is considered fast when we can get 100-180kbps. The fastest we can get is probably around 700kbps but it would cost almost a bomb.

Don't worry. If you have slow Internet speeds, Apple will more than likely allow you to DL Mountain Lion at your local Apple Store.

Well, we in faraway Malaysia now have fiber-optic Internet which provides really fast download speeds... Timing is just right, as I'm also using such a service now, which makes for easier OS X download and installation! :D

Really? Perhaps I was basing my statement on outdated information. If so, I apologize. :)

To be fair, it of course also depends on what you (in general, no you specifically) consider good speed and a fair price.

Good point. For instance, my home connection is 1.5 Mbps and has a 15 GB per month limit, so Apple's move here isn't the most favorable for people like me. Sadly, I don't see them giving us any other option in the future and I probably won't care soon because I'll move to the city where 20 Mbps is $20-40 per month. If the majority has something, a corporation will not change something because the minority needs it.
