My motion only works when I reset all settings. Then after a while it stops working. Why is this?

    OK...
A while ago, I noticed my motion stopped working. Basically, apps like Doodle Jump, iPod Cover Flow etc wouldn't work. Someone posted that resetting all settings would fix it. I tried this, it worked for a while but then motion stopped working again. I have done it a few times now and this happens every time. Safe Mode doesn't help.

    Also, I'm on 3.1.2.

Sounds like dodgy accelerometer. (Motion Detector)

If you have jailbreak RESTORE then give to apple /

If not give to apple straight away.

This has also happened to me. Sounds like the 3Gs weren't made with good speedometers.
