I wanted a stylus for those rare moments when I need it, but found the pencil wrapped with tin foil to be too flimsy. so I came up with another idea:

-get a medium carabiner cip, the kind for keys not for climbing
-cut it off on the long side right before it starts curving towards the hinge. it must be that side, or else the arm will be in the way
-use sandpper to smooth the cut and make it very slightly curved.
-ow use the sandpaper again to make the edges rounded as to not scratch your ipod
-OPTIONAL- I used the sandpaper and sanded away all of the paint within a centimeter of the tip of my stylus, so paint flakeswouldnt get on my ipod and in my case.

tip: every so often while sanding test your tylus. I found mine works best if I hold it with the bend right outside my thumb, so experiment with diferent grips and sanded ends

(sorry for all the typos - my computer broke so not only do I not have firefox's awesome spellcheck, on my mom's laptop that I'm using the keyboard sucks)

    EDIT: attached is a diagram.

Another way would be to go to a home improvement store and find some alluminum rod stock and buy as little as you can (mine only let me buy like 1 foot minimum). That way you can buy the diameter you want and just worry about the length.

No it needs to be Metalic.

    Look at it this way.

Does your finger work on a DS? without having to press down hard on it?
