Macs are overpriced and I am comparing a smartphone to a laptop. What isn't there to understand?

Its your comparison. The cheapest Mac costs about $800 less than the cheapest iPhone. So you're more likely to see a kid running around with an iPod touch that his parents bought him than with a Mac. So I'm not surprised with this obvious statistic because an iDevice is 1/5 the price of a Mac.

Its like saying jelly doughnuts sell more quantities than luxury cars because the luxury cars are overpriced. You are comparing apples to oranges here.

Everyone who said the cheapest Mac is $1000 must of forgot about the Mac mini.
