    This is bugging me. Every time I put in my Hackintosh Leopard CD, and I boot from my CD drive, it gives me the option to Install Leopard. When I press enter, the Mac startup screen [The grey apple logo] flashes for a brief moment, and the computer restarts without installing. What should I do? I tried two different types of patched OS X, and they both didn't work. My hardware is good, since the CPU is x86, 64-bit, fast, all that jazz.

    You're supposed to format the partitions using disk utility available in the installer.

    @OP

    Try kalyway or iatkos, they're the most common and effective.

    I have a NEW problem. The coding appears on the screen, but it freezes. Is it just taking a long time to install, or is something wrong?

    Here's a picture of what I mean.

    Hey CAM, i just has a whole slew of problems trying to get my Hackintosh to work. I learned a lot of new stuff in the process, and made a few stupid little mistakes.

    Do me a favor and post your system specs. And ill see what i can do to help.
    Also iAtkos v5i and iDeneb v1.3 (Both Leopard 10.5.5) seem to be the best distros out there. I had great luck with iDeneb.

    I've already downloaded 2 other Distributions.

    You aren't telling us ALL your specs. Use a linux distro maybe or open the Hardware Control Panel of Windows, expand all the branches, and take a pic of that.

    EDIT: Also, try booting with the following: platform=X86PC -v
