At $99.95 it's pricey, but I like the way the ipod touch and the "mophie" fit together without any dangling cables.

I had purchased an earlier model for my 1st gen touch and had it only briefly when the 2nd gen was announced. That was several months ago and I pre-ordered the newer model of the mophie.

It came today more than 30 days after my pre-order creditcard was charged.

Looks nice, but that's where it ended.
1.Turns out the mophie doesn't charge the ipod touch, it only works as an alternate power source. This was confirmed by customer service and blamed on Apple.
    2. Plug in to the mophie and you lose the internal speaker which is a real pain if you don't particularly want to use headphones while playing games.
    3. Probably a bad sample but the mophie I received distorts the sound thru the pass-thru headphone jack so badly that's it's totally unusable. It was just unbelievable.

The only good news is that a phone call to customer service resulted in a no argument RMA number. Back it goes.

Hey, they did'nt even sound surprised even though I was a very early adopter.
