Mail.app plays .caf sounds through the headphones but is there any way to make it put out the simple .aiff clicks the piezo is capable of for things like the alarm when new mail comes in or mail is sent? Does anyone know how to do this and is anyone willing? I think it'd be really helpful to get an audible alert whenever new mail arrives. I think more people would be interested in this as well and it seems simple for someone who has the knowhow. Let me know, thanks.

Are you familiar with the code of these apps? I imagine you are. What have you been trying in none code terms because I'm not familiar with how these apps are coded but do understand other coding languages and so I'm just curious. Do you think you can take the output code from the alarm app and use that code in the mail app where its sound commands already are?

Yea it really would be nice. I'm sure it can be done, just need someone who understands how to mod these apps. I wish I knew how or had the time to figure it out. Hopefully someone who is already familiar with all this will help us or otherwise I might try figuring it out in a a month or two.

    Zink,

You have any luck with trying to get mail.app to output the clicks?

I've been trying to contact the taskbar notifier creator.
