    Yes, Only apple are allowed to produce apple product's, using their OS-X, Some companies can make accessories for Apple, EG cases, The Nike Shoe Mod etc.

    Just to clarify after further Investigation:
    Picture 1 is just a screen mod for a mac Book, And as Steve Wozniak is creating it, He also has the right to use the Mac OS-X as he did help create it.
    Picture 2 is basically just a screen replacement, Nothing major.
    Picture 3 simply an accessory.
    Picture 4 just an Accessory.

    If the modbook was an entirely different product, And not a conversion, Then it would probably be illegal.
    Other than that, This is completely Legal.
