I am still a noob at all this so it could be me. I installed moblie terminal to change root password but everytime I run it it just goes back to the springboard. What am I missing? I will keep looking and if I do find an answer I will post it. Thank you to whom ever read this.

Solution: I just added this source ' http://www.podzombie.com/repository/ ' and installed there mobile terminal. This does work for FW 4.1 thank you all for you time.

If you simply need to change your SSH password.
The easiest way to do it is to install Rock from inside cydia.
Since Cydia bought out Rock your phone there is no longer any apps in rock
but when you open rock it will advised you that your password is still default
and ask you if you want to change it. Simply type in the new password.
Much easier than using mobile terminal.

    I'm not sure why.
It's always worked for me. But I'm on 4.0 firmware.

I found a video on youtube of how it's suppose to go, (not my video)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vb-B0P1zx6k
But I found that it worked for me.

I have the cydia source for mobile terminal for 4.0, not sure if it works on 4.1
If your interested in the source then PM me.
