it seems that the highest folder I can go to is /var/mobile I cant go any higher up than that. I did before somehow, but I have no clue why it is doing this again. It seems my iPod cannot handle any programs correctly. Any clue why I am experiencing this/these problems?

go into "Settings" in mobilefinder then scroll down a little bit and turn system file access ON. Your "not being able to handle applications properly" sounds like you need to also turn "executable launch" on right above "system file access". this should fix your problem.

the best alternative to doing these things is to forget mobilefinder and use FileBrowser. its been flawless for me. and you can change permissions right on your touch.
