When I try to change my password via terminal it just goes:

    passwd
Then prompts we to type my old password.
    then it just says "sorry"
I can still SSH into my ipod and use "su" command it just won't let me change my passwords. I already went to masterpassword.password and restored the old and it still fails to work. Any ideas?

    that should work..:

    su root
    hit return
    alpine
    hit return
    passwd
    hit return
    *new password*
    hit return
    *new password again*
    hit return

i think you have to enter the password multiple times.
