Okay, so I downloaded MobileTerminal for iOS 4 off the [PIRACY] scource to change my root password. Now for some reason cydia keeps trying to install the original mobile terminal!

The first picture is a list of my installed packages.

The next picture is what always happens happens when i try to install/remove/update something!

The last picture is the error i always get.

    HELP!!

Download the .deb using a PC and SSH it and install it using iFile. It worked for me.

Hey, I was having the same problem, here is how I fixed it:

    1) SSH into /var/lib/dpkg/ and copy the file "status" to your computer

    2) Rename the file on your iPod/iPhone to "status.backup" (just in case)

    3) Edit the file now on your computer, using a text editor. Search for mobileterminal, until you find the package labeled "com.[PIRACY].mobileterminal", and rename it "mobileterminal"

    4) Now find the section that looks roughly like this:
    "Package: mobileterminal
    Status: install ok not-installed
    Priority: standard
    Section: Terminal_Support"
    and delete it

    5) Now save the changes (don't add an extension) and place the "status" file back in /var/lib/dpkg/

    6) Respring

    7) Enjoy!
