So today i was on my jailbroken iPod touch with 2.1 firmware on it, and i thought i'd save a webclip (Windows Live) to my homescreen so i could log into my Hotmail account on my iPod. Nothing new there. When i tried to save it, the iPod froze, then the spinning wheel came up. I waited for it to end its infinite spin and up came the home screen. Kinda cool at first: Please Register or Log in to view images I was like WTF Is This? Never seen this before... I touched Dismiss and the window went away. As you can see the WebClip of Windows Live (Sign In) is now there. Hmm.. Please Register or Log in to view images Also notice the 'Safe Mode' words where the time used to be shown. Cool huh? lol Please Register or Log in to view images And it don't say nothing in the Online User Guide about Safe Mode. Only the Home Screen seems to be different than normal...Nothing in Settings at least: Please Register or Log in to view images If you're quick enough, this is the Home Screen without the iPhone dock: Please Register or Log in to view images No difference in MobileTerminal, still logged in as 'Mobile' not 'Root'. Then i tried to delete the webclip, after all the chaos it caused me lol Please Register or Log in to view images But the spinning wheel came up and went back into Safe Mode, but alas, the WebClip had disappeared. So if ya want to put your iPod into Mobile Substrate Safe Mode, just add a Windows Live WebClip on a jailbroken 2.1 iPod touch. I thank you.
