Mobile chat v 2.1 problems

    So i installed mobile chat v 2.1 from installer. I used the source provided on the twent08 blog the guys who created mobile chat i used this source http://twenty08.com/installer and installed the program, entered my information i am using msn and my contacts came up but when i go to chat with someone the box i type in is black and i cant seen what i am typing also i don't get the blue and green bubbles like its suppose to show up. I searched the forums looking for a answer's but came up with noting does any one know how to fix this problem? I am running 1.1.3 ipod touch. Thanks

    had the same issue, i rebooted and everything worked then.
    i recommend trying that. it might help.

    tried what you suggested and still didn't work any ideas? Also can you give me a run down of your set up ? what installer version what firmware ect just so i can try and find out the problem thanks

    All of you need to replace your hosts file!

    MobileChat 2.1 uses resources (like the chat bubble images, for example) from the iPhone SMS app. If you don't have the iPhone SMS app, you need install this first for MobileChat 2.1 to work.

    what would replacing the host file do? I am not have problems connecting, And if we need to change that which i have with the one supplied in the how to fix Apollo for 1.1.3 but if there is something i am missing i would appreciate your help.
