    i installed mnplight
which was supposed to let me import songs from a directory on the ipod without itunes

but when i tried it and i went to music it said i had no music ....
    the music is still there
so it must be the database or something
is there a way to fix it?

or am I going to have to restore?

    thanks for any help

I have a similar issue - I downloaded the song but I cannot locate the file using the Erica's SendFile tool and I cannot find it when I am looking for the file through SFTP.

DONT use mnplight!!! It WILL delete everything and it WONT allow you to access itunes without restoring! This has happened to me, and it sucks

    damn peice of crap.

    Steps to fix:

go into your iPod ssh wise

    2. Find the itunes_control folder

    3. Go into the itunes older

    4. Delete iTunesDB

    5. Rename iTunesDB.org to iTunesDB and it should work

    fixed it
    it was kind of easy

mnplight leaves a copy of the original named iTunesDB.org in /Media/itunes_control/itunes/

i just renamed it and deleted the other DB, restarted the springboard, and all my music was back!
