    Hi
    I am a registered dev and i have the beta 2 on my iphone 3g. Does anyone know how to get MMS to work? I have googled the internetz and found info on it, but it doesn't seem to work for me.....

    I got the .ipcc from the Apple website, updated it on my iphone, i now have options for tethering and MMS (when before i didn't), but i cant seem to get them to actually work. I called up my provider and got my MMS details, like proxy and so forth. I put them into the .ipcc, but it still wont send an mms.

    Any info?

    EDIT:
    Please also note, this DOES NOT require a jailbreak. I dont have my iphone jailbroken and the hack works.

    You have to call apple, then ask them to transfer you to the AT&T private management offices. Then ask AT&T to enable "WAP Push" and to "Provision Your Device To Send/Receive MMS" After that (while the phone is on) hold the home, and sleep/wake button until you see the apple logo. Then MMS should work.

    From what I heard, AT&T hasn't allowed MMS on the iPhone service plan yet, but I don't have an iPhone, so this is my best guess.

    Hey
    thanks for the replies
    im with vodafone in australia... Shall i still call apple and ask about wap stuff?

    EDIT:
    I spoke again with vodafone people, and they gave me again the mms info. i inserted it into the .ipcc package again. Is that correct? Im not 100% on .plist editing... lol
    <dict>

    *insert arbitrary stuff*

    <key>mms_proxy</key>
    <string>010.202.002.060</string>
    <key>mms_proxy_port</key>
    <string>8080</string>
    <key>mmsc</key>
    <string>http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend</string>
    <key>voicemail_context</key>
    </dict>

    They also confirmed that i am set up to send and receive them.

    Im thinking its a problem with my settings in the .ipcc

    Any info?

    EDIT EDIT:
    Hey
    I finally got it working!!!!!!!!!!!
    I can send and receive MMS!

    I dont think i can take a screenshot can i? Can i take one and cut the image so it only shows the important part?

    And this is coming from a registered iPhone developer that doesn't know how to edit a plist, correct?

    Go to this place, its a whole thread on enabling tethering and mms. Just follow it, and tweak it as needed.

    Any questions ill do my best to help

    EDIT:
    I haven't tested tethering as i dont really need it.

    But MMS and the 3G internet still work together.

    EDIT EDIT:
    Please also note, this DOES NOT require a jailbreak. I dont have my iphone jailbroken and the hack works.
