    Hi all,
So, I'm looking to import my collection of tv shows to my touch, but most are in .ogm or .mkv format. My .mkv's usually have their default audio track as some other language. I want to convert my .mkv's and .ogm's to ipod compatible, but the programs I have dont ask for audio track info. they just convert the file with the default language. I am curious if there is a program that does this, or if someone could tell me how to demux the .mkv and successfully get it back into an ipod compatible format.
    thank you

MKV and OGM are both Video Containers. The best app for converting them is:

    Xvid4PSP from www.winnydows.com

Also, if you want to seperate the Subtitles or Extra Languages from it, use MKV Extract GUI.

Make sure to have the Combined community Codec Pack from www.cccp-project.net

I have never got super to work for me. (using Vista if that's the problem.) are there any settings I need to change in order for it to work for me? I'll post the error I always get in a second.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks Teslanaut. I'll try these out and see if I can get it to work. thanks!

ok, so, I have successdully demuxed a file getting a .aac audio file, .txt chapter file, and a .H264 video file. My next question is how to combine the .aac and .H264 file. Thank you.

With Xvid4PSP or the other guy's way?

You know, you could simply convert the MKV file to MP4 with Xvid4PSP without demuxing or anything.

The only reason you'd need to demux is if you want it in a certain language that it comes with or you want it with Subtitles.

So which language and subtitle do you want to keep? Or what language is it in already?

    Details Please.
