I turned on my ipod touch yesterday to find the the volume control slide bar has disappeared. I have no idea how! It was there the last time I used it and I have no idea how to get it back.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Happens to me. Rebooting should solve it.

This has happened to me once before. Somehow your iPod is reading that there is an accessory plugged in. This can be due to overheating, or a metal filiment in the dock connector. Take off the case and let it cool down. Also shut it off for five minutes. If it is still like that after 4 hours, make an appointment with the Genius Bar to get a replacement.
