    Hi,

I just connected to my iPodTouch with SFTP and only can see the Library and Media folder but no Media_sym folder.
Do I have to install somethig else first to get it ? I was using the jailbreakme.com site.

    Please help...Bodo.

hmm, just restored my ipod to 1.1 and rejailed with jailbreakme.com.
everything worked perfectly.. installed openssh and connected with cyberduck and also transmit to my ipod with sftp: root/alpine.

the problem is the only folders i can see in /private/var/root are Library and Media.
    Media_syn is still missing.

What should I do next ? Thanks for your help,
    Bodo

ok seems like the media_sym folder is just a link to the root dir and is useless.
installed all iphone apps in /library and works perfectly.

in your ftp client, you just navigate up to the root directory and you will see Applications.

Upon using jailbreakme.com, once you ftp in you will be in a directory with only Library and Media folders. Look for an up arrow and keep going up in the directory tree until you reach the root. Applications folder will be there along with all other folders.
