After jailbreaking my iPod Touch 2g, I seem to be missing the Mail and Push/Fetch settings. I can't turn push off or make email accounts and my battery is draining like crazy.

Are you using categories? I noticed that when you put apps like safari or mail in categories folders it removes them from the settings list.

I just upgraded to 3.0 firmware today on my ipod touch 1st gen and I'm having this problem too, but i'm also missing photo and mail in settings. I don't have either of that app in categories. Does anyone know how to fix it?

    thanks.

It seems like the "extended preferences" app installed from cydia is causing the problem. The settings for contacts, mail, photo....etc, came back after I disabled that in winterboard.

Hopefully this info would help someone out, now i'm a happy 3.0 user

No, that wasn't it, but maybe that causes the same problem. It's because I have the icons in categories.

Fetch/Push settings are in the "Mail, Contacts and Calendar" menu.. is that still visible?
