I dunno if this works, but mount the firmware file on a Mac, then transfer the app from the mounted firmware to your iPod? Just a thought.

    Damn, that sucks.
But SSHing is fine. Just make sure you read what you're deleting. Lmao.

I thought it was a blank app, I have no idea how. =/

    Okay, already re-jailbroken, now restoring.
If this doesn't work and I have to re-do AGAIN, I'll be mad, but as for now, cyw00d makes it easy.

You could have saved yourself a lot of time by simply decrypting the root filesystem disk image (using vfdecrypt and the FileVault key which is available in your XPwn bundle or on TheiPhoneWiki) and then mounting it (simple as double click on a Mac, can also be mounted on Windows after running through the dmg tool included in the XPwn suite, then opened using a program like PowerISO).
After opening it, it's as simple as extracting the folder and SCP'ing it back in, then applying the correct permissions (the only permission you'd most likely need to apply is 755 to the App Store binary).

In the good old days, a restore wouldn't have been suggested.
Unfortunately, these aren't the good old days anymore.
