When my iPod was jailbroken, I installed MIM (Make It Mine, an app that changes the "iPod" label to anything your heart desires). I recently restored my iPod because it would not update to 1.1.4. When it was done updating, guess what was still on my iPod.. my custom label! Nothing else was there that has to do with jailbreaking...
    What happened?

Oh, and I can't JB again for some reason - it won't go into recovery mode for the jailbreak applications (iLiberty, ZiPhone..)

The restore doesnt restore that part of the ipod OS, just use the restore settings on the settings thing

Just rejailbreak your iPod and then install MIM and change it back to say "iPod" again.
