With my mighty mouse on my computer (iMac), I find that I can scroll up and sideways, but not down. The scroll wheel moves but there is no clicking sound. What can I do to fix this?

The unfortunate thing is now I have to wait to talk to a person. Thx for the help, though.

to fix it, turn the mouse off and get the ball a little wet (watte or spit if you want

) rub the ball against your palm (the meaty thumb part) after a while of rubbing, do the same thing with your jeans. turn the mouse on and it should work again.

That happens to me sometimes. I just wait a few days and it eventually works.

Did you get it working? Worst case, if it's no longer under warranty, you could open it up.

I had a Mighty Mouse where someone apparently pressed on the ball so hard that it bent the spring underneath, so the ball was stuck down and wouldn't spring back up. Not only couldn't it scroll, but it recognized every click as a middle click. Anyway, I cut it open and bent the spring back. Seems that the Mighty Mouse isn't quite mighty enough for some people. I love it though... never again will I be able to right-click a mouse without lifting my left finger.
