ok well i was in cydia (i have windows and used the winpwn way to get 2.0 jailbroken) and i got the spinning wheel. so i tried to turn it on twice and it never would. i put it manually in restore mode, and go back to itunes 7.5. i get the 1601 error. i tried it over and over and even reinstalled. got the same error

so i upgrade to 7.7 and get the 1619 error, saying it detected the ipod, but it is corrupted or something like that. how can i get this thing restored?

    1. turn off your iPod, while its connected to your computer

    2. Hold both button for 10 seconds and then let go of the power button but keep holding onto the home button.

    3. Hold the home button for another 10 seconds, and then it should come up on iTunes.

yeah what he said! i forgot the exact steps for DFU mode thank you Zombie_killer. also it may take longer than 10 seconds for the last part, just keep holding it, mine took about 15 or 20 seconds...
