What's even more sad is that if the App gets rejected, Developers have to pay $99 again to re-submit it. No refunds.

    $99 seems a little overkill.

What MS's bigger mistake than the $99 fee, is them not releasing an SDK kit, which prevents developers from making apps independently.

Developers have to work directly with MS to get their app released. That costs more time and money, and as a result, there's going to be nowhere near as many apps as apples app store.

MS knows this, and is downplaying the app store, saying the Zune HD is more of a media player, not an all in one device like the touch.

On the bright side, there wont be as many junky apps on the zune marketplace, but I doubt there will be as many good games going on sale, and lite/demo versions either.

There are vital apps it should have launched with, like Email, Youtube, and a Zune version of Apples Remote. Who knows if those are even in the works.

"...plans to be even more restrictive than Apple's App Store..."
    No thanks.

Apple opened their app store about 10 months after releasing the iPod touch. Don't even bother trying to give me some of your crap. Microsoft is exponentially ahead of where Apple was after releasing the iPod touch.
