Microsoft Word

    is there anything as good or even close to word availiable on the touch?

    man, if someone could program it. that would be freakin sweet. i have actually been looking for one of those. it would be very helpful in class. i know the touch would have no problem running it, but i think at the moment, the notes app from the iphone is the closest your gonna get.

    you can download text edit from installer, it let's you write and save text files. But I think the only way to export the files is to SSH

    Whats the name of the text editor...i canĀ“t find it!

    actually you can read word .doc files when opening them from email as attachments.
    so maybe there is a way to edit the app responsible for that so it would make it possible to edit them or even create new ones. :?

    The text editor is called "MobileTextEdit".

    A Touch equivalent of Microsoft Office, meaning Word, Excel, etc. is not available currently.

    Don't expect it in the near future.

    It's an MP3 PLAYER. Not a PDA.
