But I don't think they are doing that... Apparently Windows 8 RT costs $85 for OEMs to license. That's gonna limit possible pricing.

RT will not have every full program under the sun as it is a different architecture although there will still be plenty. COD was good up to 5 then after that it turned stale much like with Halo 1-3 had an amazing storyline and multiplayer then it turned into a cash cow, Battlefield is the same.

im guessing $800 which makes it hard to actually go thru with a purchase...microsoft tablets would be worth way more than iPads but I was even hesitant on paying 500 for an iPad...i sold my iPad cuz it literally is a giant version of my iPod even tho the experience was awesome

If iPads had OSX Lion on it ppl would go ape sh!t...this is why I've been waiting for a good Windows tablet...as cool as iPads are im not 12 years old and need to be productive with my equipment...yes it has keynote and all that blah blah but that does me no good...i want an operating system on my tablet not a stripped down verison...guess it depends on what ur doing with ur tablet....ipads are gorgeous and smooth but i cant be productive on it..once i got over the cool experience of the apps it only made my web experience better

guys, i think that it will be a big competitor with apple because

1: its the first desktop OS that would be awesome in tablet form

2: i think theyll make it like 200-300 bucks (if the kindle fire was the same price as the ipad then it wouldnt be a very big competitor)

3: like people said above, the ipad is just a tablet with a smartphone OS ported to it.

also, does anyone remember that microsoft tried to get into the tablet business years before apple did? (they ran windows xp and werent very popular

Yeah, I kind of agree on the iPad, they should of made it more featured then the iPhone since it's a tablet and all. Also they should of took more advantage of the screen with like the Homescreen/Springboard, so much waisted space they could of used.

Yes RT won't have them at first. But it is still windows. I doubt it will take long to port them. CoD and Halo were never good. CoD is super unbalanced. Halo, how many times can you really destroy the Halo? 100? Battlefield games I never really enjoyed myself, but those could be good, CoD and Halo are just easy for people to play and be lazy, no thinking, so they liked them. More into MOBAs myself because I like thinking, not sitting on my couch blankly staring and pressing two buttons.

I don't think you realise that all apps will go through MS and it will take a long time, also some devs will be hesitant to bother wasting time/money on a possible flop platform.

There are 7 Halos which if activated by the Arc destroy all sentient life in the galaxy to act as a fail safe. The covenant believe that activating them will take them to some form of heaven, yes the MP has been dumbed down since reach. You really need to get into the storyline to see how great it is. You are referring to COD6+ before that it was one of the best multiplayer games around, 4 was the best. If you want to think you would have joined a clan for scrims, too late to do it anymore though due to 'dumbing down' of games

Basically you are saying there that because more people buy the iPad it makes it a superior tablet. The majority of people isn't always right, and can be very wrong. I would have to say most people will buy something based on what everybody else has, and how it looks.

CoD 4 was unbalanced as sh*t, don't know what you're talking about. And the halo stories just all feel the same, never bothered to get into them. Kill the covenant, kill the flood, and destroy halo. Now go do it 5 more times. And even clans in those games don't play in a way that requires thinking and strategy, they just run in and shoot stuff like every other round.
