I am sure that some people find this claim disputable. I, for one, do not. Quite simply, I've never heard of a tablet that could do so much. Blew my mind when it was announced.

In the last article you said the Surface display was inferior to the iPad? Hmm...

I still don't see why the iPad 3's resolution needs to be so high. It's a tablet! We don't even need phones with 1080p screens but those are coming.
I'd be fine with the Surface screen resolution. It doesn't need to be some crazy high number but 1080p would be nice.

Honestly though, I'm hooked on Retina displays now. It just doesn't feel right using my iMac, which is the only non-Retina device I still own.

The iPads screen isn't even full 'retina' yet. Once you use the devices for a while it becomes a luxury you just can't live without. I'm sure the surface will be great though as there is other technology implemented that the ipad doesn't have.

What do you mean its not full retina ? o_O Apple invented the term retina for describing their displays. So if Apple say its retina then it must be?

Well... There's not a huge difference but the iPads screen is only 264ppi compared to the iPhones 326ppi. Steve Jobs defined a 'retina' display as being at or above 300ppi, the point where your eyes no longer see pixels.

Alright so why are Apple calling the iPad a retina display then o_O, if its not by Steve Jobs standards. Unless Apple have redifined the the term 'Retina ' since Jobs died?

This is just an article about an opinion of Microsoft, not the author. Hence the post title is prefaced with "Microsoft: " which means it's what they're saying.
