In OS 2.2, many recording applications and VoIP applications had a problem with audio input on the iPod touch. The result of this was a jittery echo-y high-pitched feedback of the input.

This is one of the main annoyances I have with my iPod touch at the moment, as I do a lot of recording with it, and this bug is a real downer when one is trying to do free-flowing recording (having to try recording over and over again, reboot iPod, etc).

So I was wondering if anyone with the OS 3.0 beta can confirm that this is fixed, as it would physically excite me. The application I use that has this problem is Gigbaby, although I've also had the problem with Sonoma's Fourtrack and Skype.

    Thank you.

Well if you have have an iPod Touch 2G, it should be much better because it has the microphone, which Apple have perfected. Then again if your using a 3rd party microphone, that’s probably the manufacturers fault and not Apples.

Thank you. I'm using the Apple in-ear headset, so I am hopeful.
