I have my iPod touch set up to use as a voip phone. My current microphone is an adapter that plugs into your headphones. This works, but it is a bit cumbersome. I would rather use a speaker instead of headphones to hear. However, everything I have seen says that if you plug in a microphone, then the speaker becomes disabled. I am looking for something that acts as both a speaker and a microphone that would work for use in phone calls. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!

I have Griffin SmartTalk microphone add-on for my Touch 2G.

I have Siphon but I could not find a SIP for inside USA. I am in USA.

If you know any current SIP's I am interested.

I wonder if I could run the sound thru the fm radio? I have that.

Would USBfever's mini capsule microphone & speaker combo work? I've heard that when you plug it in and use the microphone part, it automatically disables the speaker, which seems a bit pointless.

^that cant work, that doesnt make sense how would you use the microphone and speakers at the same time, the mic has to be plugged into the headphone jack anyhow.

Siphon is all manual typing in your SIP info so you have to look on your SIP provider site; if you have Gizmo5 it works with Siphon quite nicely

This accessory is compatible with (as a Speaker and Microphone):
    - iPhone (1st Generation)
    - iPhone 3G (2nd Generation)
    - iPhone 3GS
    - iPod Nano 5th Gen
    - iPod Touch 3G
    - iPod Touch 2G

Buy it, if it does not work.. demand your money back because they lied. Unless you are using a 1G and in that case, no it will not work.
