Could someone please direct me to a list of voip compatible mics for an iPod Touch 2nd gen (jailbroken 2.2.1 firmware). I know there has to be one posted somewhere but I just can't find. Thanks !

I can tell you that I just bought the Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 150V for mobile and they work great with my 2nd gen iTouch. I used the mic with Nimbuzz in Skype and it's great!

well, what i mean is that iPod Touch wasnt meant to hold all of these new creative communication applications, like those sms apps and stuff. ppl and other devs just thought of these creative ideas and tried to incorporate them into iPods.

fring support tells me in their forum fring only supports the Apple headsets.

I don't know if fring "audio" is the problem.

I thought I would try Truphone. Truphone has good "reviews" for audio.

I understand Truphone works on Touch 2G, now.

If no other way, I will purchase the Apple headset for the Touch 2G. It has a mic. I did not purchase it, when it came out at the Apple Store because it is white. I have a real problem with thieves, who like Apple products. I had my Shuffle on the first day and I decided I would not use it at the coffee shop.

If I have to purchase the Apple headset for Touch 2G, I will be limited to using it inside my vehicle while traveling (parked, of course).

    Too bad.

I am going to try Truphone with my Griffin mic and the $79 Sony stereo earbuds (black) I already have.

I have tried an Apple Headset copy with mike that I bought on Ebay this week and everything works OK with "Fring". ( AU$21)
