    How safe is mewseek (like limewire can it give you ipod/computer a virus)? also copyright laws and such...

    You should be fine. of course there is always a risk using p2p networking.

    If a file was infected it would not effect ur ipod

    but it can it affect my computer i.e sshing into ipod and putting the song into itunes?

    If you put a virus in an envirmonet it was intended for then your going to have issues.

    Get a good AV, copy the file to a "zoned off pc" scan it. Then you know its safe to do with as you want

    this is also an ipod, not a windows computer....

    plus if you do happen to get a virus and simple 10 mintues process to restore your ipod. or wipe off your ipod in the setting menu...
