Ah, but i'll be getting Mountain Lion so doesn't matter much for me, but sucks for others (who can't upgrade). Also agree with it being buggy, I reinstalled it to get it to work again. it's good when it works though.

I dont really see the point in messaging on the computer. You can't even get your messages from an iPhone though because it uses the phone number?

Its not really text messaging. Its like an instant messaging server only for Apple products. I think Apple went after Blackberry's IM server.

I think this is what Apple missed with Lion and I'm glad its out. I absolutely love it.

The messages go to all your devices using that Apple ID

Well, yesterday when I tried to add a person to talk to, it would freeze then crash and it wouldn't show anyone's email in the contacts part, so couldn't add them from that either. I tried to open the messages Prefernces, but it was grayed out so couldn't do anything with it. So I just reran the install and it worked again. (Yes, I restarted the comp and everything, but still would work) Haven't used it that much since I reinstalled though, so it could happen again or maybe was just a faulty install.

what uses a phone#? maybe you are talking about something else but Messages goes to all devices. If I message on my iPhone it shows on my computer and if I message on my computer it shows on my phone.

Kinda expected this. I don't think I'll really use it much anyways when it's fully out. Maybe for sending photos if it works later on.
Also, any guesstimations on the price for Mountain Lion? I guess I'll buy it regardless but still wanting an idea. Can't complain since I got the Lion upgrade for my MBP but still slightly butthurt lol
