Mess with bootloader?

    So, what would happen to the iPod if for whatever reason, you corrupted the bootloader? I have heard something about being able to "brick" it like this, but I'm not sure. Might have my terms and things mixed up.

    Nope, a DFU will bring it back to normal.

    Unless you f*** up the boot ROM, which is where the DFU OS is stored. (and they'd have to find an exploit to be able to do that) or physically damage it, it can't be bricked.
