Memory Problem

    i didnt know where to put this at but how come my 8GB ipod touch on itunes says i only have 7.08GB even on the ipod

    The 1gb is used for system things, like services, and the like.

    At least, that's what apple says.

    Every storage device has a usable capacity that is slightly less than what is advertised. There ~1 GB that you are "missing" is unusable or holds the OS and system files.

    then what is the other half a gig missing because i can only use 6.5 of the "8" but it says 7
