After being a member of forums on all aspects of life (music, skateboarding, ipods, cars, whatever) I've noticed something that I feel might help our community aspect we all seem to feel like we've lost. Member meet-ups. It might be weird and it might be really boring, but hey, maybe somebody is stuck on something, and another member can help in-person, then they collab and solve the problem. Not just as members, but as friends. All members in a general area, or near said area, are welcome and encouraged to bring all things iPod touch Fans with them. We could make t-shirts. stickers. Anything fun that involves our community. I can see it now, it's kinda funny really. All of us with our iThings just sittin around talking about them and staring at each others devices and learning new stuff. I actually think it could really inspire some of us though. I know lots of us have similar hobbies, and maybe it would bring members closer together and create friendships we never thought would happen. We might meet each other and realize they are a totally different person in real life than the member we see all the time. Now, I realize many of our members are pretty young, so I don't know how this will work here. I know that the five or so meet-ups I've been to were amazingly fun and inspiring. Maybe that's because cars are easier to drool over, but hey, it's worth a shot. Basically I'm just putting it out there, now let's talk about it.
