I did the permissions change actuallyinside Mobile Terminal. Mail, Notes, Weather and Stocks all work. As soon as I launch Maps, it goes to the screen and then crashes back to SummerBoard.:confused: HELP!!!:(:(

I originally had the same problem, double check you have set the correct permissions on all files AND folders under /Applications/MobileMail/

    edit:
just notices you are having problems with MAPS not MAIL as I was, follow the advice in the post below and it should work

SSH in and issue this command:
    chmod -R a+x /Applications/

Thanks.. it took me awhile to get the command to take. I was using MobileTerminal. Is that actually setting the permissions to 755, even though you never type the words permission or 755? I haven't found a walkthrough for that anywhere. Everyone just posts the command string and says do it.

Well, if you ssh in using a real ssh client (IE: Mac's built in ssh command on console, or Windows' Putty), you just need to type / paste in the command as given ;)

OK, I got most everything working, but Maps still just crashes. Double checked permissions in CYberDuck, and made the ENTIRE applications folder 755. Still can't get maps to work.

It worked after I typed it like this:

    /bin/csh

    /bin/chmod -Rf a+x /Applications/*

    Hi all:
My maps app also crashes, though I changed every single file to 755 via cyberduck. I am new in this so I dont quite understand the suggestion you made above. With which proggie could I execute the command and how to do it.

    Thx from Germany
