I live in Sweden and the swedish language contains special letters like "åäö". To get the letter "å" i have to hold a and move my finger to "å", as everyone has to do. But this takes time and I want to add the word which contains "å" in to the dictionary, how do I do that?

Is there any app that allows me to add words to the dictionary? The english dictionary is great, but not the swedish one...

    Best regards
    André

You should be able to add words into:
    ~/Library/Keyboard/dynamic-text.dat

I don't have access to wi-fi here at home so I can't take a look at the dynamic-text.dat yet. But do I simply add the words there?
Lets say I want to add the Swedish word "hallå" and then I want to write a text document for example, do I only need to press "h" and "a" and the "hallå" pop up? And if I spell the first half of the word wrong, for example "h" and "s", will "hallå" still pop up?
In other words exactly what happens when I type in a english word.

Anyone with more ideas? Skylar's suggestion didn't work.
