Hey guys, I have recently jailbroken my ipod tough 2g with 3.0 software. I was sort of stupid though as i didn't realize how much a jailbroken ipod relies on wifi for apps and stuff...especially seeing as i dont have wifi. So i was wondering...firstly,

Is it even possible to manualy download apps such as winterboard onto your pc then sync it to your ipod??? and if so...

Can i do that with these apps: (I mainly care about the ones marked with * but i wouldn't mind knowing about all of them)

    Installer*
    Customize*
    Summerboard*
    Winterboard*
    SMBprefs*
    Logins
    Logome*
    BSD subsystem
    Tern-vt100*
    backgrounder*
    SB settings
    Aptbackup
    Five icon doch
    pocket touch
    Open SSH*

    thanks guys

I suggest the next time you are at mcdonald's or starbucks just to download them

Wow man, your package list is a little outdated (from the 1.x days lol):
Installer and BSDsubsystem were replaced by Cydia.
Summerboard (which is SMBPrefs) and Customize were replaced by Winterboard.
OpenSSH is for SSH'ing, which requires wifi, but it's good to have anyways.
Tern-vt100 (terminal emulator right?) was replaced by MobileTerminal or Terminal (can't remember the exact name on cydia).

Anyways as for getting things, you're gonna wanna download either ifunbox or iphonebrowser, those will give you access to the system files. You're gonna wanna google search for the .deb files of whatever files you want, and then search on how to install deb files on iPod. The common method uses terminal...but there are other ways as well.

lol, thanks. I had winter and summer board at the top of my list, really im just getting all the apps i found in peoples top 5-10 fav apps. But your saying I need winter board and summer board, not BSD sub system or installer. And if i dont have wifi that makes OpenSSH useless. then i want ifunbox and mobile terminal/terminal -do you need wifi for these? Thanks for all the help.
