    Ok, so heres the problem...

    in photoshop:

I make a layer with text on it, then another layer with a copy of the text, turned upside down.

How do i make it so that it fades out gradually like a reflection?

add a white to transparent gradient over it as a layer mask

    1. its a mask so it wont affect your other layer
    2. its under gradient options (choose the gradient tool and where you can pick the color pattern theres foreground to transparent in the dropdown menu)

Set your foreground colour to the background colour. Then choose Gradient tool. Then Foreground to Transparent. (Photoshop).

    It's the second option in.
Hold Shift, then drag your mouse upwards. Keeps it a straight line.
