So i recently bought this from think geek http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/usb-gadgets/ceca/

However, i own an iPod touch 2g and for some reason it is only compatible with iPhones. does anyone know why this would be?

even better, does anyone know of a solution?

I've never had a problem with "iPhone" chargers on my iPod

Why do you think it's only compatible with the iPhone? Do you get an error?

If you are jailbroken, an app like resupported might be able to help you.

Doubt it will work seeing how the iphone takes up more amps and volts (correct me if i am wrong) and the connector might not have the resisters needed to lower down the charge.

However, its worth a shot!!! Try resupported.
