    I started this new project to build a wii in the pc.

    First off things you'll need:

    * Dolphin Wii/Gamecube emulator (Download latest version from site)

    * Bluetooth USB 2.0 Adapter Dongle (If your computer/laptop doesn't have blue tooth already )

    * Wii Remote and Nunchuck Controller (1 would be fine, but 2 or more is better for wii games play with friends)

    * Nintendo Wii Wireless Ultra Sensor Bar (Best wireless sensor bar out and needed for wiimotes)

    * DVD drives:
    * LG-8164b
    * LG-8163b
    * LG-8162b
    * LG-8161b

    Needed for reading and backing up the wii games, nothing illegal

    I picked all thoughs items for about $85USD i saved about $120 not buying a wii console. All though it will depend on what specs your pc has. I have 4Gb Ram, ATI HD 5770, PII X4 955 3.62GHz and games run flawlessly. if you have anything around that then your in the green.

    hoped this help.

    Heres links to some tut to get you started with dolphin:

    My computer will cough up a Gigabite if I do this. 1.86 Ghz and 1gb of Random Access Memory. Ouch.

    Still the point of this was to show a cheaper way of getting a Wii type deal.Though I think I'd rather get a Wii.But I could care less for the Wii therefore I wouldn't buy one unless it was $5 brand new

    You realize that ripping a rented game is illegal and piracy, which just so happens to be against the rules (and the law).

    How is buying all those specific parts, plus the pc parts, plus the OS (Windows ain't cheap), cheaper than just buying a Wii?.....
