?

How much would you pay for the phone-function-case?

  1. I wouldn't even buy it.

Hi, please vote in the link instead, because I have three more questions.

Well, I'm doing a shool work, where whe had to come up with an product. My idea is an iPod touch phone-case. So if you have an iPod touch, please answer my 4 questions at: http://www.quibblo.com/quiz/b-_YP5W/...uch-phone-case

    Thanks in advance
    Albert

OBS I changed the poll to a short survey on only 4 simple questions

PS, I know that Apple would do everything to not let me sell this product and ruin my idéa, but when you vote, just ignore the reality.

    ok first off;
you would need an app that would allow it
second u would need to have a wi-fi signal everywhere you went
third you would need the case to have an external speak LOUD enough to hear and a microphone (of course)
and finally apple would never let you bring it out to the world.
don;t get me wrong its a good idea but the time and money you would envest just isn't worth it all.
P.S the app would have to be user friendly and have access to contacts on the ipod

    well, ok...

the thing with it (that I never said) is that you use your Sim card, which means that you don't use internet. That's why Skype can't replace it.

And Roondog12355, your right. But this is only going to be a theoretical project, which means, that It won't need to be 100% realistic.

I would (at max) play 40 bucks for it. This would be good for people who dont have ATT.

Good luck on your school project!

Main problem is you're effectively designing a device to make the iTouch become an iPhone. But as it'll need a battery, and presumably it would have to clip on, would it not end up quite bulky? Unless you can utilise flexible battery technology, and make something thats very form fitting, I think its not going to be easy to make into a useful format. Then there's the real problem: you'd need an app, and that's where you'll probably run into problems. You'd effectively be challenging Apple for a share of its iPhone sales. Something I think they won't allow.

Now a better way of making calls from the touch would be a "mobile broadband and wifi router in one" unit similar to the Mi-Fi. Here in the UK the company Three offers an, iPod Touch 8Gb and a Mi-Fi unit together on a single contract for £23 per month. That way mobile skype becomes a reality.

There's an app out that can make phone calls using Wi-Fi and 3G (I forget the name). Maybe you can look into it
