That always happens to me at work. I just use it to charge it because we use an unsupported version of windows and it only shows up as a camera. But lately it hasn’t been connecting at all. It won’t even charge.
But it works fine on my MAC.

It only started after i used the dev teams 1.1.3 soft upgade.

Did you drain the battery out completely? I did that once and my computer couldn’t find it so I plugged it into my wall charger for a bit and it started right up.

just leave it in to charge for an hour or so then restart your computer and your ipod. then try. If that dosnt do the trick try a restore on another copmuter.

If that dosnt work I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe take it back and exchange it.
I hear cosco has an awsome return policy you dont even need a Receipt.

sorry i couldnt help. good luck
