Okay so I installed the iPhone Mail app on my jailbreaked touch and it wasnt working. So I uninstalled it but after it "finished" it kept this little loading icon in the center that won't stop. It won't let me go to any page at all or on any app. I have restored it twice now and its still like this. I'm worried I'm screwed over.

What I might do is just go to Walmart, buy a new Touch then come back; put the broken Touch in the box and say it dosen't work. Thats so I get a new touch and don't have to have the hassle from Apple about jailbreaking.

    Please help guys.

    try this

    Hi
Just had a similar thing myself, ipod stuck in a constant state of rebooting, not sure if this is what yours is doing but how i got out of it was like this.

make sure u download firmware 1.1.1

    had to do a restore
only way i could get to restore was...
re start ipod while plugged into usb holding down both home btn and off btn
    itunes recognises restore mode now
to restore hold down option key while pressing restore in itunes
navigate to firmware 1.1.1 and restore from this

hope it helps, hacks r good fun but have their consequences some apps just seem to destroy the ipod for no apparent reason im hoping the apple sdk will provide some great apps in feb so i dont have to use hacks anymore.

    hmmmm...

maybe just try installing a new software (1.1.2) and then restoring the iPod again to un-brick it.

Yea this has happened to me several times also. Do a hard restore and just upgrade your firmware to 1.1.2 then jailbreak from there.

I know its scary when you go through all the resets and you still see that damn wheel.
    Best of luck!

Yea well I remember looking for a solution and I found this different way to restore where you do the normal restore(hold the home and sleep button until the apple logo appears, then release the sleep button while still holding the home) while keeping the Touch connected to the computer the entire time.
Not sure if this actually helped but it definitely restored back to normal.

Also try to restore back 1.1.1 instead( install firmware onto desktop, then when hold control and click update, select 1.1.1) because I think that Mail.app and 1.1.2 don't really get along.

Let me know if this does not work.

    GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I had 1.1.1 on it, I did the auto jailbreak thing (I downgraded from 1.1.2). Well my dad took it to BestBuy to see if they can do anything. This absolutely sucks.
    Thanks for the help guys.

Oh alright, sorry it didn't work.

The guys at Best Buy can probably work it out for you with out being dirks like the "geniuses" at some of the apple stores in relation jailbreaking =/
