Major iPhone SMS Security Flaw Temporary Patch

    To stay safe, this patch will prevent you receiving the SMS containing the virus. However, this means that untill Apple release a fix for this, the SMS.app will be disabled.

    Yea but then when you go to put it back How in the hell will you know the permissions if you dont remember them? Not a good idea. I would change the info.plist tp info.back and it wont boot the app then. then just change it back.

    In the source it tells you what the permissions are i just didnt include it.

    You can still recieve them? They are still sent to the sim, this is even worse, you wont be able to know when you are attacked.

    Think about it, the messages app is just an app that views the messages database. You can still use things like quicksms and other sms replacement apps to send sms.

    All this does is stop the messages poping up, meaning that you will never see the [] and never know when to turn it off

    If you want protection then install sbsettings and turn the phone option off.

    Or just get on with your lives like everyone else for another week until 3.1 comes out.
