clear your queue. to clear your queue just follow these easy steps.

    1. go into installer
    2. go to install (on the dock; at the bottem of installer)
    3. go to a package
    4. click install on the top right
    5. now there should be 4 buttons they are the following:
    install
    remove package
    clear queue
    cancel
    6. hit clear queue now try to install, uninstall anything.

    hope it works.

    could have been a fluke...

i had this problem for ages and couldnt fix it until....

i went to BSD subsystem in the uninstall option
    clicked reinstall
this was the only place i was able to clear the queue
i cleared it then reinstalled the bsd subsystem

    now everything works fine
